Curly Maple Lidded Box

95.00

This lidded box is from a contest in which each participant had to create a piece from (approximately) the same three blanks of wood: a chunk of Curly Maple, a small square of Jatoba, and a pen blank of Wenge'.  The body is made from the Curly Maple, the lid from the Jatoba, and the rim from the Wenge'.  The pull is also made from Maple, but is "ebonized" to make it black.  The inside of the box is also ebonized.  The outside of the box is finished with lacquer, and the inside with Polyurethane.
